Biomechanical Comparison of A Novel Dynamic Cervical Implant With Conventional Implant: A Finite Element Study

چکیده
Ball-socket pair is generally used for designing implants total disk replacement (TDR) surgery on cervical spine. Although, there exists an issue of wear which reduces implant's life as well success rate. To overcome this issue, without compromising stability, a new design dynamic implant (DCI) introduced. In present study, biomechanical performances conventional Prodisc-C and the proposed DCI were compared using finite element (FE) analysis. CT scan data was to develop three-dimensional model spine (C4–C7), inserted at C5-C6 segment. The FE with showed increase in range motion (ROM) implanted segment decrease adjacent segment, while convenient results term ROM intact model, lower risk stress shielding bone.

متن کاملcomparison of bone biomechanical behavior around three different mini-implant systems employing finite element method
statement of problem: placement of mini-dental implants when single-tooth restorations are needed and the space is not sufficient to insert a standard diameter implant is indicated. there are many different mini-implant brands with various materials and surface characteristics; however, there are just few studies comparing them with each other. objectives: in this study, finite element analysis...

the purpose of this study was to determine the influence of platform switching on stress distribution of two different implant systems using three-dimensional (3d) finite element models.six 3d finite element models were created to replicate two different implant systems with peri-implant bone tissue, in which six different implant-abutment configurations were represented: model xive-a: 3.8-mm-d...
متن کاملDesign improvement and dynamic finite element analysis of novel ITI dental implant under dynamic chewing loads.
The main aim of this article was to introduce the application of a uniform design for experimental methods to drop the micromotion of a novel ITI dental implant model under the dynamic loads. Combining the characteristics of the traditional ITI and Nano-Tite implants, a new implant with concave holes has been constructed. Compared to the traditional ITI dental implant model, the micromotion of ...
